Description –
The Data Handler (DH) at the local site accepts
a 4/20 mADC tank level signal and compares it to
internal turn on and turn off setpoints. The DH,
in turn, transmits pump on and off commands to
the remote site DH via the leased line/dial-up
modems. The remote DH converts those commands to
contact outputs for operating the motor starter.
The remote site DH accepts one 4/20 mADC pump
flow signal and pump running contacts and
transmits them to the local site and converts
them back to 4/20 mADC and contact closure for
local display and recording. The local site DH
closes a contact in the event there is a
communications failure.
