Description

The Data Handler accepts 1 each 4/20 mADC signal and 2 each Dry Contact Closures that correspond to various field variables such as level or flow and other status information such as an intrusion or a failed pump.

The Data Handler is configured to automatically initiate the General Purpose Modem to dial a regular phone number or a number of a numeric pager and leave a voice or numeric message that includes the site ID Number, the variable reading in engineering units and other current on-site status conditions.

The messaging is configured to occur periodically, on a change of state, or when internally configured limits are reached. The Data Handler prompts the General Purpose Modem to automatically send a default message every 24 hours signifying that the communications system is operational.
